April Showers bring May Baby

I have been so blessed with wonderful friends who wanted to throw showers to welcome this little guy.

This picture is from the April 7th shower, hosted by Tara Mizell, at the Manuel's Restaurant in Austin. It was great to see all my friends I've met through the years at Arbor Animal Clinic.

Our second shower was April 14th, hosted by Amanda Venton and Brooke Huling, at Amanda's house. My mom and Bryan's mom were both able to come in from out-of-town, which made it extra special.

Belly Contest (34 weeks)

Bryan and I went to Houston to visit my parents for the weekend.... and to go to the annual Woodworking Show so Bryan could buy new toys :-)

Dad and I had a belly contest.... I think I actually won!

Valentine's Day

Here's the first "Belly Shot".... at Week 28.

We had a wonderful dinner at Truluck's, which is the seafood restaurant where we had our first date. That place has become special for us, as we went there for our first anniversary and the night Bryan proposed as well.

Guess this is the last dinner out at Truluck's without a babysitter!

One Big Happy

Well, Sundae has officially accepted the kittens.... and they all three love to snuggle with Bryan on a cold day in January.

It's a Boy!!

We had another ultrasound appointment today... and they confirmed what I've been suspecting.... we're having a boy! Someday he'll be truly embarrassed that this made it on the website, but isn't that what parents are for... embarrassing their kids? :-)

This one's my favorite though.... 10 fingers, 10 toes, and everything else looked happy & healthy.

Newest Family Additions

I guess I'm nesting.... cuz these fuzzy little girls were too much to pass up when they showed up at the clinic without a home. The white one is Sapphire, and the black & white one is Scarlet. Sundae doesn't like them too much at this point, but hopefully she'll come around.

The Next Check-up

This time at the doctor's office was much more fun. The baby is much more developed at 12 weeks, and we got to see arms and legs and check measurements of the spinal canal to make sure everything is ok. So far, so good.

We also confirmed the alien status of the baby (since Bryan hails from Roswell, NM).... Yep, looks like an alien to me! :-)
